My name is Deanna, and I taught English communication to English learners for ten years. I realized that when it comes to dating and love, lesbians and wlw have trouble with the same things as English learners: confidence and/or basic communication skills.

Subtle Pride magazine grew out of this realization.

I wanted to create something for younger lesbians and wlw that would be fun and entertaining, but also add in a bit of schooling on communication and confidence. 

Some of the content is pure entertainment, but I’ve tried to sprinkle in nuggets of wisdom and advice throughout the magazine to help readers navigate the world of dating and relationships more skillfully.
