Tragic was born from a deeply real place—mental and emotional survival. T.R.A.G.I.C stands for Therapy, Restoration, Alignment, Grounding, Intentional, & Calmness.

I was raised in the church, taught to trust God, pray, and believe that everything would work out for His good. And while that faith is true, I was still living, breathing, and hurting here on earth. My pain was real. I prayed. I laid at the altar. I went home—and the weight remained.

The Bible says that faith without works is dead. That scripture became my turning point.

I began researching Christian therapists and found one who felt right. At that stage, I wasn’t ready to fully commit, so I stopped going. Years later, the same emotions, the same mental patterns, and the same heaviness returned—only louder. This time, I was ready.

Choosing therapy again—this time fully committed—was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Therapy isn’t a one-time fix. It’s a practice. Like going to the gym, healing requires consistency, patience, and intention. As a Black woman in the United States, I carry layers of trauma—personal, generational, and cultural. For African Americans descended from enslaved people, trauma exists whether we name it or not. We teach our children how to survive before we teach them how to rest.

Tragic exists to create space for that rest.
