I'm Phil Rawlinson, a Chartered Health and Safety professional with extensive experience in health, safety and environmental management.

Throughout my career, I've developed a strong belief that good safety management isn't simply about rules, compliance and paperwork. It's about understanding how work really happens, asking better questions and helping people make better decisions.

I'm particularly interested in how artificial intelligence can support this approach, challenging conventional thinking, encouraging curiosity and helping professionals work more effectively.

I created The AI Field Manual to make AI practical and accessible to HSE professionals, whether they're just getting started or already exploring its potential.

My philosophy is simple: AI should support professional judgement, not replace it.
