About ALH
If you’re here, chances are something hasn’t been working.
Maybe school has become a daily battle.
Maybe your child is anxious, burnt out, or completely shut down.
Maybe you never planned to home educate, but here you are anyway, trying to work out what to do next.
If that’s you, you’re in the right place.
I’m Chetana, founder of The Alternative Learning Hub.
I work with students who are often described as:
- capable but struggling
- anxious or overwhelmed
- autistic, ADHD, or neurodivergent
- “fine at school” but falling apart at home
- or no longer able to attend school at all
Over the years, I’ve seen the same pattern again and again:
Bright young people who can learn…
but can’t access learning in the way it’s currently being offered.
And parents who are doing everything they can, often while feeling completely alone.
Everything here is designed for that reality.
Not the ideal version of learning.
Not the Pinterest version of home education.
Real learning, for real situations.
You’ll find resources that:
- reduce overwhelm instead of adding to it
- help students get started when they feel stuck
- build confidence slowly and safely
- support parents who are holding a lot
Some are simple. Some are structured.
All of them are designed to be used in the real world, not just to look good on paper.
You do not need to do this perfectly.
You just need something that works enough to move things forward.
If things feel messy, slow, or uncertain right now…
that’s not failure.
That’s where many families start.
You’re not behind.
You’re rebuilding.
