Jocelyn is a trauma informed clinician who works in private practice and does community care psychotherapy. She is a licensed clinical social worker who has a Bachelor of Sociology, and her Master of Social Work is in mental health and substance abuse. Jocelyn began her journey in metal health almost a 10 years ago and has worked in a psychiatric hospital, and in community care.
Born in Queens NY, Jocelyn and her military family moved often. She's lived in California, Texas, Virginia, and grew up overseas in Germany. Her favorite city is still Paris France but her favorite cuisine is Korean BBQ. Jocelyn resides in coastal North Carolina with her husband, her two children and dogs. She spends as much time with family and friends as she can, preferably out on the water.
While working on a military base, attending to over a thousand active-duty service members from different walks in life, she realized just how many people lacked the fundamentals of understanding their mental health. Jocelyn set out and created 4 unique trainings to help those service members understand their mental health.
The Art of Relationships is one of the trainings that she created so that people would have a better understanding of how to navigate their personal and professional relationships. Jocelyn is currently working on 4 additional guides to help people on their mental health and healing journey..
