Hi, I’m Sarah! 👋

I’m a mom of two boys, a lifelong DIY-er, and the person in my family who somehow always says, “I can make that!” For the past 16 years, I’ve been creating homemade Halloween costumes for my family, along with party decorations, crafts, and just about anything else I can figure out how to make myself.

I’m not a professional costume designer or crafter—I’m simply a creative mom who loves turning an idea into something amazing (usually with a hot glue gun nearby). I created The DIY Files to share the projects I’ve learned along the way and make them easier for someone else to recreate. My guides are made for real people using approachable materials, simple instructions, and the little tips I wish someone had given me before I started.

If I can figure it out, chances are you can too. 🤎
