Working through grief is one of the toughest challenges we face in this existence.
Men, in particular, often struggle on this journey due to society's expectations of us.
We are expected to be strong and not cry. But we need to cry.
We are expected to be a pillar of strength, holding everyone else together. Yet we need moments of vulnerability to tap into our true strength.
We are often told not to show our emotions. But by blocking them, we deny ourselves the chance to live fully.
Men need to know that we are here to have a human experience, and that experience includes hardship and emotional challenges.
We need to break down. We need to allow ourselves to cry.
Only when we allow ourselves to experience a full range of emotions can we rise from the ashes, becoming a stronger version of ourselves.
