About Me

My journey reflects a remarkable but tumultuous path. It began as a fugitive from the law and fleeing to a foreign land. Then an idea blossomed into unparalleled success, leading to an ambush, incarceration and finally deportation. Despite the risks I returned to the land I was banished from to finish the enterprise I started. Most find my resilience in the face of such challenges is truly remarkable

Finished your book. All I can say is well done my friend. You nailed it. Captivating & Terrifying!

Your story has all of the elements;

love, heartbreak, loss, highs ,lows, luck, fear, family, danger, freedom.

My advice is to find a ghostwriter to help you clean it up if you decide to move forward with a potential tv series, and an agent who is familiar with that genre of TV. There are a ton of platforms now always looking for content.

People would be entertained and terrified at the same time.

If nothing happens you have written a memoir that will be around long after we are gone. šŸ‘

The descriptions were solid. The cockfight when you won the motorcycle for some reason was very visual and extremely intense for me. It covered a lot of emotions. You could have easily been killed. Your place on the dirt road where you first lived. Again very easy to imagine but you explained it well. It shows how hard you fought and were alone and scared but created something out of nothing. I’m a sales guy at heart so the struggle is real to me. I truly don’t know many who could have overcome all of the obstacles you did.

Wow. I finished it. What a crazy life. So many close calls. Fascinating! It never dragged. I would tell you if it did. A real page turner. I was just starting another book and I dropped that one completely to read yours. It was very raw and honest. I love the mention of Dawn, Mark and Tim. Just personally you know—-And the parts of course with your sweet Momma. Loved how you talked about your family. Your nieces and nephews.  Very nice addition to understand what you were thinking feeling. I got nervous when you started in with the cock fighting—-I was so glad you were not graphic about it. You really handled all the blood, guts and gore very professionally.  I think it was just enough without making someone cringe. It did not seems like you were going for the cringe writing which is very appealing! It ended pretty abruptly—-but that is where THAT part of your story ended so that makes sense.

Okay so I just read that first chapter you sent me and it is awesome. Very compelling and gripping reading. You definitely have the start of a page-turner.... I would not bullshit you. I really did enjoy reading it. I'm a big fan of Michael Connolly and his Harry Bosch books, which I don't know if you're familiar with them, but they're all set in LA and I could see that aspect of your book pulling in those interesting parts about LA

Mike, first, don't worry about the typos. I was reading for the story, not proofreading. My honest opinion? I think you've got something here. The biggest compliment I can give you is that I wanted to keep reading. That's what every author wants. Your personality comes through loud and clear. It sounds like you. The dialogue feels natural, the humor lands, and you do a great job painting scenes. I could easily see this becoming a movie or limited series if the rest of the story delivers like Chapter 1. Since you asked for honest feedback, I have one suggestion. I think the story is actually stronger when you let the events speak for themselves. The Hollywood lifestyle, the parties, the detectives pounding on your door at 5:00 a.m., and the arrest are compelling enough that you don't have to remind the reader how successful or confident you were. Those events already prove it. I'd trust the reader to reach that conclusion on their own. I thought it was a very strong opening. It hooked me, and I want to know what happens next. That's a good sign😊

You're very descriptive, almost like Mickey Spillane meets Earnest Hemingway meets Penthouse Letters.

Okay, I'm hooked. Could have done without the poop descriptions, but I get you want to describe it realistically

Hey Mike. I just wanted to give you my review of the preface and chapter I of your book. It was very well written and very entertaining. I can't wait to read the rest, which I will definitely do. Great job my friend. Love you

I love your book. I’m gonna buy it. I wanna figure out what happens here. Great job buddy! I like you more, I like you a lot than but I like you more now. Had it read to me in the voice of Snoop Dogg. More pimp. Mad reveal. You got my money. I just wanna find out where you’re at right now. I’ll buy the book that I had Snoop Dogg recite to me as I was hiking. I’m running the Canyon, listening to your book at the gym as well. Kind of weird and lovely at the same time. You’re a very cool guy. I like what I’m hearing from Snoop Dogg.

I just finished the first chapter and I NEED more! It’s so good! I would read this even if I didn’t know who you were, but it makes it a million times better to have really known you. So happy for you!

I read it, loved it and I am shocked! You definitely know how to write

You should get ā€œlegitimatelyā€ rich finding a Hollywood producer to make a movie… the writing style was you - felt not overly polished but genuine with a heartbeat of optimism, humor and random touching observations …. I couldn’t help but reflect on juxtaposition of my own far more ā€œordinaryā€ middle-class married life raising kids in Michigan and corporate bs career to your crazy adventures… in my thirties (and still now in my imagination) I would have envied your lifestyle, the multiple girls, drugs, opulence… and then how did you even manage to stay alive! It was entertaining as hell!

Random thought - send a copy to Greg Gutfeld - you need to generate some national exposure

Mike. First off I am finding this writing absolutely brilliant. I'm not sure if it's because of my connection to you, I can tell you I haven't read anything except the Bible since I was a teenager. For real I mean that. But I am fascinated with too much to tell you about without being able to converse with you personally. It's superb!.

"You built something no else ever has..Now to share your story with others is truly phenomenal. I know from working with you over the years, you were the greatest at it!"

First, congratulations...finishing a 20-chapter memoir is an accomplishment in itself...most people talk about writing a book...you actually did it...my biggest compliment is simple: I never lost interest...I wanted to keep turning the pages to see what happened next...that's the mark of a good story...I've known you since 1992, so I have a unique perspective...throughout the book, I could hear your voice...it didn't read like someone trying to impress the reader...it read like the author sitting across the table telling an unbelievable story...I think writing it in your own voice, without AI, was absolutely the right decision...the story itself is remarkable. Hollywood, the arrest, Mexico, building a business from scratch, the legal battles, deportation, danger, loyalty, betrayal, redemption...it's a life that very few people could honestly say they've lived. I think the book is at its strongest when the events speak for themselves. You've written a compelling memoir...whether it ever becomes a movie or not, it held my attention from beginning to end, and that's something very few books accomplish...I'm glad you stuck with it for three and a half years...it was worth finishing...and, you just might inspire a friend or two to sit down and write a book, as well...good job, my friend!!! šŸ˜Ž

I like that we're in the middle. šŸ˜… I read and experienced it with you. I remember the time with the cartel in Cabo and how scared we all were. And you trying to contact us by every means possible. 🄹

Spent the entire day reading your book!!! Amazing story!!! Great job! I can’t believe everything you went through and I’m sure there were some amazing fun glamorous times most people wouldn’t come close to understanding or even have a clue existed. And what balls you had to turn yourself in and go back to LA. You sure had some f*cked up moments, but somehow ended up having angels protecting you every step of the way.
