About Me
Hi! My name is Chi-ann and I have been a home-educator for the last 15 years as well as a tutor teaching small groups of Home-Educated children. I was also a Director of HEET (Home Educators Educating Together) which was a Community Interest Company run for the benefit of Home Educators. We ran in-person classes (I taught many classes there as well!) as well as online classes for all age groups. I graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Law and worked in the Publishing industry for several years until deciding to home-educate my children. They were all home-educated up to the GCSEs and then went onto study their A-Levels in sixth forms. My older two went to Oxford and UCL and my youngest is entering sixth form this year - bringing my home-ed journey to an end. I am using my newfound free time to pursue more creative activities in art and giving myself the time to develop that personal passion! Throughout the last eight years I have taught and prepared students for the following GCSES - Classical Civilisations, English Language, History, Religious Studies and Literature as well as having taught a variety of classes for younger children ranging from Debate Clubs, Literary Adventures, Current Affairs, History, Literature to name a few.
While I am choosing to take a break from active teaching for a while - I wanted to find a way to make available all the many years of resources and my teaching experience to the home-ed community. So I am creating downloadable resources and online self study courses which I hope will provide support for other families. There are many excellent providers out there and rather than competing with what is already on offer- I hope I will be offering things that will supplement self study as well as courses that may be less popular and harder to source. Anyway - have a look and see if anything piques your interest.

Thank you so much for putting up with us for 8 months, and teaching so patiently and helpfully. I have really enjoyed the lessons and although I'm happy the exams are over it's kinda sad that they are over haha.
But, it has certainly made me more interested in Classics, before I was more interested in English history, but while both being in your class and studying for it for the GCSE I found a new interest for it! Not to mention the classes were actually really fun!
I've left both papers feeling confident and happy with how they went, so thank you very much for all your patience and help over these 8 months.

My daughter, now 13, has just completed Classical Civilisation: Myth and Religion course, with Chi-ann. It was a wonderful two years, and we were genuinely sorry that the course ended, after sitting GSCE exams, earlier this summer.
