Looking to elevate your Reflexology session? Ask about
incorporating crystals, or adding the soothing touch of hot/cold stones.
Let's make your Reflexology experience not just good but downright awesome!
What is Reflexology?
The ancient healing art of Reflexology is far more than a simple foot, hand or ear massage. Using distinct hand and finger techniques to apply pressure to specific points, or "reflexes", Reflexology helps relax the body, release tension, improve circulation, aid digestion, regulate bodily systems and support the body to come back to a natural state of health and balance.
Did you know that each foot has over 7000 nerve endings? There are more nerve endings per square inch in our feet than anywhere else on the body. The feedback these nerve endings provide to our central nervous system is vital. No wonder Reflexology brings the whole body health, not to mention it feels amazing!
What to Expect
A discussion will usually take place at the beginning of your visit describing the session, what to expect during the session, and the techniques that will be used. At the beginning of your visit we will discuss any particular troubles or issues, as well as your short term and long term health goals.
While receiving Reflexology you will rest comfortably on a massage table with your shoes and socks removed, under a comfortable blanket if you choose.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing as I will be working on your feet and up your calves. If you are receiving hand reflexology I will be working your hands and forearms. If you are receiving ear reflexology I will be working your ears, neck and upper shoulders.
Light, relaxing music is typically played.
During a session you will feel light pressure on the areas being worked. There is no pain involved in my style of Reflexology.
Some people report feeling warmth or tingling sensations in various parts of their body while receiving reflexology. This is a normal reaction, and a good sign as we work along the neural pathways and your body responds to the signals.
The session should be very pleasant, and relaxing, and many people often doze or fall asleep.
