I Blame the Meat 🥩🤢

Two days ago, I sat down to write a blog post. My original plan was to write about food, energy, and a sudden shift I had noticed. But as I sat there, feeling completely drained and sluggish, I hesitated. I thought to myself: "Maybe I don't have enough 'meat on the bones' (pun absolutely intended 🤣) to back this up yet." So instead, I channeled my heavy energy into writing about my relocation melancholy and how much I miss Zanzibar.

But the moment I hit publish and started heading home, the universe handed me a massive revelation.

I realized I had eaten a lamb wrap the night before. I had found it in my freezer and thought, "Hey, I need to clear out the freezer before I leave the country anyway, let’s not waste it." And the very next day? I woke up feeling absolutely miserable. Both physically and mentally low.

Suddenly, the pieces of the puzzle clicked together. The exact same thing happened to me last weekend. After dancing like crazy on Saturday night, I practically sprinted to get a piece of entrecôte because my body was screaming for a steak. But almost immediately after eating it, a wave of heavy, dense energy completely washed over me. I felt borderline depressed. The light, high-frequency feeling I had been carrying just evaporated.

I’ve been back in Sweden for two weeks now. In Zanzibar, and since coming back, my diet has consisted almost entirely of fish and a little bit of chicken (samaki and kuku, for those following my Swahili journey! 😉). And honestly? I have felt amazing.

Now, I have two distinct data points connecting my worst, most paralyzed days directly to eating red meat.

If I look back, this makes total sense. When I first started my spiritual journey years ago, I naturally shifted into being a vegetarian, and for a short period, completely vegan. During that time, I felt incredible. My body was light, and my intuition was sharper than ever.

From an energetic and spiritual perspective, it is completely logical. When you consume red meat, you are essentially consuming dense, dead energy. If you are actively working on calibration, boundaries, and raising your vibration, heavy energy is going to drag you down. Your system simply can't stay on a high frequency when it's working overtime to process that density.

I am not here to join the endless, exhausting internet debates about whether eating meat is "good" or "bad." I am no nutritional expert—well, funnily enough, I actually am a certified nutritionist, but I only went through the training for my own personal journey and never worked with it professionally. Still, I am just a person doing what feels right for my body and my soul in this exact moment.

In fact, I highly encourage everyone to stop listening to the so-called "experts" and start tuning inward instead. We are all in different stages of our lives and spiritual evolution. During some chapters, your body might call you to eat meat because you need grounding. In other chapters, it will call you toward a lighter, plant-based or pescatarian path.

Right now, my body is clearly shouting for fish, veggies, and light energy. But you won’t see me slapping a label on myself. I don't want to call myself a vegetarian (or pescatarian). I refuse to lock myself into a box.

Listen to your own body. It has all the answers, no experts required. For now, I'm staying away from the heavy stuff.

Stay tuned to your own frequency,

Love /Olga 🌊🐠✨
