The Relief Compass: When "Bad" News is Just Alignment

Another day, another WTF moment... 🤦‍♀️

For years, I was a chronic overanalyzer. I needed an answer for everything, a strategy for every outcome, and a logical explanation for every shift in my life. But lately, my entire inner landscape has shifted. I have developed this blind, almost radical trust in God. I’ve realized that things aren't inherently "good" or "bad"—they just are. We are the ones who attach meanings and labels to them.

Today was a masterclass in putting that exact philosophy into practice. It was a day that, on paper, should have left me anxious, broken, and stressed. Instead, I am sitting here experiencing a profound, unshakeable sense of calm.

Why? Because I have learned to use relief as my ultimate compass.

I started my day by meeting with a real estate agent to put a property on the market. For a long time, this situation has felt heavy. People were occupying a space they couldn't afford, turning a business transaction into a personal drama where my patience was being taken for granted.

When the boundaries were pushed too far today, something inside me clicked. My inner badass stepped up. I didn't wait, I didn't make excuses for them, and I didn't tolerate the manipulation. I looked them in the eye and said, “Enough. We are done. You have one week to move out.”

They tried to counter with, “Well, then we won't buy the house.” And with total peace in my heart, I replied, “Thank you, I don't want you to anymore.”

Instantly, I felt a massive weight lift from my chest. That explosion of drama didn't drain me; it liberated me. The relief was my proof that standing in my authority was the only right path.

Right in the middle of this chaos, I got a call from the clinic. They wanted me to come in immediately for an examination regarding some recent physical symptoms. The doctor looked at me and delivered the kind of news that usually stops your heart: “This could be a sign of cancer. We need to rule it out, so I am sending an urgent referral to the hospital.”

(Hearing those words naturally triggers a lot, but as many of you know who have followed my journey and read about my previous cancer story in my book Can't Believe I Did That, I know how to navigate these storms. The routine exam today looked clean, but the deeper check is necessary.)

I don't see this medical scare as a curse or a punishment. I see it as the Universe demanding a total house cleaning. Before I can step onto that plane to Zanzibar and embrace my new chapter across the ocean, my physical temple needs a full inspection. Everything hidden must come to the light so it can be healed, cleared, and left behind in the old timeline.

Sitting here right now, I realize I am literally living the reality of the book I have already written. I am watching my own soul lessons play out in real-time.

In Can't Believe I Did That, I write extensively about this exact phenomenon—how that profound feeling of relief became my ultimate compass for making life-changing decisions, and how a blind trust in a higher power can carry you through anything. If you want to dive deeper into how to find that unshakeable calm within yourself when everything around you is shifting, you can grab your own copy of the book right here: Can't believe I did that - Payhip

When you stop fighting reality and start trusting that everything—the chaos, the abrupt endings, the health scares, the victories—is happening exactly as it needs to, the fear evaporates. You realize you don't need to control the storm. You just need to stay anchored in your own center.

Tonight, I am entering my necessary "hermit mode" to let my body catch up with my spirit. I am holding space for the vulnerability, but I am not shaking. I am exactly where I am supposed to be, completely aligned, and profoundly at peace.

Stay fierce 🔥
