About Me
Hi, I’m Kristen — an occupational therapist and the creator of The OT Comeback. My path to becoming an OTR/L wasn’t a straight one. I failed the NBCOT several times before finally passing, and along the way I learned just how isolating, frustrating, and discouraging this process can feel.
After passing, I realized that the strategies that helped me most weren’t just about studying harder. I had to completely change the way I approached practice questions, rationales, my study schedule, test-day strategy, and my mindset around failure.
I created The NBCOT Comeback Guide to share the method I wish I had when I was preparing for my own retakes — and to remind future OTs that one exam does not define how capable you are of becoming an amazing therapist.
Today, I’m a licensed occupational therapist working as a Travel OT, and I share my journey, career experiences, and everything I’ve learned along the way. 🤍
