About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah, the heart behind The Rainbow Nest 🌈

With over 20 years of experience in childcare and education, I’ve worked across SEND, neurodivergence, home education, safeguarding, and supporting families and communities. But more than that… this comes from lived experience too.

I’m 40, with a very neurospicy home and family, and like many others, I’ve spent a lot of life trying to find tables where I felt I truly belonged.

The truth is, those spaces don’t always feel welcoming and often, they don’t last. Yet so many of us are searching for the same thing… connection, understanding, and a place to feel at home.

So I decided to create it.

The Rainbow Nest is a growing space, like a strong tree with many branches, each holding different nests. Spaces where people can come together, feel safe, supported, and part of something.

From Parent Nests to SEND Nests, this is about building something nurturing, equal, and inclusive where people feel valued and not alone.

Everything I create is designed with care, combining both my professional experience and personal journey. As someone who struggled as a child and was diagnosed as neurodivergent later in life, I understand how overwhelming emotions can feel for both children and adults.

That’s why The Rainbow Nest focuses on simple, gentle, and supportive tools helping children explore their feelings, supporting parents, and creating connection within families and communities.

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit, struggled to find your people, or just want a space where you feel understood…

You are so welcome here 🧡

This is just the beginning of something I care deeply about and I’d love for you to be part of it 🌈
