I started this endeavor regarding many models’ years ago without knowing it. The Many Models Approach (MMA) was started years before I knew what I was doing. I have found myself passionate regarding data and inferencing logic and knowledge from it. I never thought I would accidentally start going down the road of a senior analyst even after being a residential appraiser for 7 years. However, that is a major flaw in our understanding as appraisers of being in an analyst role. Appraisers are absolutely analysts and we need to embrace that to help prepare for the future of changes that we are beginning to already experience. The history of appraisal is a troubling one at times when I consider the analytics involved in developing an appraisal assignment.
