Created by a SEN Mum Who’s Been There. Built for the Parents Who Are Drowning in Paperwork.
Welcome to The SEN Side Quest.
If you are reading this, you are probably exhausted. You likely have 40 tabs open on your phone, you’ve spent months on a waiting list, and you just had a professional tell you to “just keep trying” when your child is in crisis.
I know exactly how that feels, because I am right there in the trenches with you.
When my son began struggling, I thought the system would step in and help. Instead, I discovered the reality of navigating Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the UK: if you want your neurodivergent child to survive and thrive, you have to accidentally become an expert. Overnight, I had to become an Occupational Therapist, a Dietitian to manage his ARFID, and a Legal Advocate to fight the Local Authority for an EHCP.
It was terrifying, isolating, and entirely overwhelming.
So, I built the lifeboats I desperately wished I had.
The SEN Side Quest was born out of 2:00 AM panic-research and years of battling a broken system. I created this library of practical, low-cost SEN resources—from EHCP Application Support Packs to Parent-Led ARFID Workbooks—to do the heavy lifting for you.
I am not a lawyer or a clinician. I am a fierce SEN mum who figured out how to speak "Local Authority," and now I’m handing you the exact templates, scripts, and strategies I use to keep my child safe and supported.
You shouldn't have to carry the mental load alone. Grab a coffee, put your blazer on, and let’s get your child what they are legally entitled to.
Welcome to The Village.
