Hey — I'm Matthew.

I write for The Shepherd's Word because I believe Scripture still speaks directly into the exact things people carry today: anxiety, doubt, shame, exhaustion, the fear of starting over. Not in a distant, academic way — in a way that actually meets you where you are.

Everything I write comes from a simple conviction: that the Bible isn't a book to survive, it's a companion for the road. My hope with every devotional and guide is to hand you something honest — no polish, no pretending, just Scripture, reflection, and prayer that treats you like an adult who's genuinely wrestling with real life.

These resources are offered pay-what-you-want, including free, because I don't want cost to be the reason someone doesn't get what they need. If they've been helpful to you, your support goes directly toward creating more of them.

Beyond these pages, my long-term hope is bigger: to help build a foundation that puts Scripture, worship, and resources like these into the hands of people worldwide — and eventually to give directly to churches working to grow their own reach and impact. That's still a vision I'm building toward, not something these products fund directly, but it's the "why" behind all of this.
