About Me
Terrie Douglas has spent more than 65 years riding, training, and learning from horses, with over 26 years devoted to the study of classical dressage, biomechanics, and the development of harmonious horse-human partnerships.
Her journey with an off-the-track Thoroughbred named Owen led to a deeper exploration of trust, communication, and connection, ultimately inspiring the development of The Trust Pathway. Through this experience, Terrie discovered that creating a profound bond with a horse does not necessarily take years to achieve. When approached with understanding, presence, and intention, trust can develop surprisingly quickly.
The Trust Pathway is founded on the belief that trust creates safer, more willing partnerships for both horse and human. True partners do not seek to cause harm to one another; instead, they learn to communicate, understand, and work together.
Today, Terrie combines her classical dressage knowledge with the relationship-centered principles of The Trust Pathway to help horse owners develop the kind of connection most people only dream of having with their horses.
