About the Author and Illustrator

From her Iowa studio, Patricia Tiffany Morris, an eclectic creative and a poet with three names, blends poetry, faith, and visual storytelling, threading hope after storms of grief through poetry, children’s picture books, and speculative and flash fiction.

Fueled by Mac tools and Procreate layers, she illustrates stories on her iPad and scribbles ideas in her sleep. She adores designing fonts and hand lettering verses.

Patricia has earned over 60 awards since 2019, including her first SELAH Poetry Award in 2026 and finalist for the Cascade Award for children's picture books. She also co-directs ACFW’s Kingdom KidLit Contest, and helps fellow writers tackle tech and organizational issues, balancing left and right brain tasks.

She designs logos, brand worksheets, and covers for others. Using her two architectural degrees from Iowa State University, she especially enjoys creating fictional maps, drawing imaginary houses, and collecting ideas from nature.

Tears are not always wet™ is a trademark of her business, Tiffany Inks Studio LLC.
