About Me
I'm Tim Felmingham — a private investor with decades of real-world experience in stocks, shares, and more complex instruments including futures and options.
For most of that time, the bulk of my portfolio was managed by professional financial advisers. I assumed they knew best. It was only when I started comparing their results to what the market had simply been doing on its own that I realised how much that assumption was costing me. My advisers were underperforming the market — consistently — and charging me for the privilege.
So I took control myself. I moved my money into low-cost ETFs, started using my ISA properly, and never looked back. The results have been considerably better than anything my advisers ever delivered.
Make Yourself Rich is where I share everything I've learned — stripped back to the essentials that actually matter, without jargon, without padding, and without trying to make it sound more complicated than it is.
I also write Tim's Wealth Letter, a plain-English newsletter for UK DIY investors, where I share what I'm investing in, why, and how it's performing — including the individual stocks I hold alongside my core ETF portfolio.
I am not a financial adviser. Nothing in this book or newsletter constitutes personal financial advice.
