About Me
I am a Finnish master cabinetmaker and long-time traditional archery enthusiast. I began with modern Olympic archery but was soon drawn to an older, more instinctive way of shooting — without sights or gadgets.
For nearly two decades, I have focused on longbows, recurves, and horsebows, and today I primarily shoot with a thumb release and short recurve bows. I have also taught archery for over 15 years, helping others develop strong technique and focus.
For me, archery is about intuition, simplicity, and being fully present. My book series The Traditional Archer’s Companion celebrates the timeless appeal of instinctive shooting and the lessons found in traditional methods.
