Since 2004, UJAMAA GRANDMAS, a Calgary-based non-profit group, has, through a variety of activities, raised over $1,500,000 in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. UJAMAA BAGETTES, a small sub-group, raises funds through the sale of patterns, and finished products which are sold at an annual sale, BAGS, BABIES & BEYOND in Calgary, Alberta.
