Ursula Scribano is an Austrian actress, singer, yodel -and voice teacher. Born in Linz in 1967, after studying literature in Vienna, she came 1990 to Berlin and studied actress at Berlin University of the Arts where she graduated with the University Degree "Diplom Schauspielerin". She is married and has a 19 year old son. After several years of performing on stage, she focused on the voice as an expression of personality, vocal power and body presence. She completed a vocal training in courses with Gisela May, Lauren Newton, Ida Kelarova, Tamar Buadze, Frank Kane and Neli Andreeva, in yodelling master classes with Ingrid Hammer, Bernhard Betschart. Advanced training in the Kristin Linklater voice work with Luitgard Janßen at the Berlin Institute for Speech and Voice Education and with Kristin Linklater at the Linklater Voice Center Orkney Islands. Ursula Scribano is contract teacher at Berlin University of the Arts Drama Department and she teaches in her own seminaries as well as in Educational institutions.
