Laurie lived with her husband Ted and their children in community with the hard-working, hospitable people of Tanzania from 1985-1997. Now they farm in central Ontario, Canada. Laurie enjoys hiking, reading, singing, playing guitar and board games. Ted and Laurie spend a lot of time with their grandchildren, who are presently the ages that their own children were when they lived in Tanzania.
