I’m Katja, the designer behind Virka Fågeln — The Crochet Bird,
and I’m very happy to welcome you to my new website.
I create easy-to-follow crochet patterns inspired by creativity, slow living and the nature around me in Sweden. My designs include bags, scarves, bandanas, hats, tops, home décor and more. For me, crochet is more than making something beautiful. It is a way to slow down, enjoy the process and create something special with your own hands. I also really love being in contact with other crocheters. One of the best parts of creating patterns is seeing what you make from them — your colors, yarn choices and your own personal style. Please feel free to share your finished projects with me. I’m always happy to see them!
