About Me
Dr. Ilaria Monti was born and raised in Rome, Italy. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Teramo before relocating to Miami, Florida, where she gained experience across a variety of clinical settings, including shelters, general practice, and emergency medicine.
During this time, she developed a strong passion for diagnostic imaging, which led her to pursue a dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Internship at SAGE Veterinary Imaging in Salt Lake City, Utah. Shortly thereafter, she obtained certifications in small animal diagnostic ultrasonography and echocardiography through WAVE (We Are Veterinary Education) in Dallas, Texas.
In 2019, Dr. Monti founded her own mobile ultrasonography service and has since been providing imaging services to veterinary hospitals across South Florida, while maintaining strong professional collaborations and continuously advancing her clinical expertise.
Dr. Monti is deeply passionate about both veterinary medicine and neuroscience. She is currently completing a Master of Science in Neuroscience at the University of Florida, with a focus on sharing knowledge about the positive effects of the human–animal bond on the brain. She is also actively involved in educational projects aimed at teaching children how to interact with animals safely and compassionately, through workshops and engaging school-based programs.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Monti enjoys traveling, attending the theater, reading, and weightlifting.
