Rob Mendez is a high school football coach and motivational speaker that was born without arms and legs. With over 20 years of coaching experience, primarily as an Offensive Coordinator, along with several years as a JV Head Coach. Known for building strong team cultures rooted in accountability, consistency, and connection, Rob believes winning starts long before the scoreboard.
Rob’s journey has been featured in an ESPN documentary and recognized nationally with the Jimmy V Award at the 2019 ESPYs. He is also a recipient of the 2026 Semper Fi Coach Award, recognizing his commitment to service and excellence in coaching.
Through coaching and speaking, Rob shares practical leadership lessons that extend beyond X’s and O’s — focusing on communication, trust, and creating environments where every athlete matters. His work resonates with coaches, educators, and leaders who understand that culture is the foundation of sustained success.
