A US citizen; born in Argentina, he is descended from Scottish, English, and

Norwegian immigrants who pioneered farming and the railways in the 19th century.

He was educated at St. Andrew’s Scots School and later at Universidad CAECE, graduating with a degree in mathematics. He taught mathematics and science for over 30 years in Argentina, Brazil, and the USA in secondary schools and colleges.

He is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, having been educated in both languages. He also has a good working knowledge of Portuguese, French, Italian, and German.

In 1999, he found a second calling in information technology, applying his analytical and logical skills to design and coding. He worked with several technologies and databases. He worked in different environments, such as corporations, federal government agencies, non-profits, educational institutions, local governments, and

small businesses.

He currently resides in Rancho Mirage, CA.
