Wild Lilac Moto started with a simple problem: helmet hair.

In late 2023, I reached my breaking point. Between commuting to work on two wheels, getting out for rides whenever possible, and a few years of self-inflicted lockdown haircuts, my hair was impossible.

I had to do something.

Over the next year, with the help of my very patient and very talented mother-in-law, I started experimenting with making my own hair wraps.

It involved fabric, a sewing machine, and a fair amount of trial and error.

One turned into a few.

A few turned into… well, a lot.

I shared a few. Friends started asking for them, and it gradually became clear that these things needed to be shared.

And so, Wild Lilac Moto was born!

Why "Wild Lilac" you ask? Well, because lilacs......just look at 'em! They seem delicate, but they’re surprisingly tough. They grow where they want, come back year after year, and somehow manage to be both soft and strong, beautiful and badass all at the same time.

(plus, lilac might just be one of the best smells you can catch inside a helmet while riding🪻💜).

Wild Lilac Moto is for those who ride their own way. Strong, independent, a little untamed, and not particularly interested in fitting neatly into anyone else’s idea of what a rider should look like.
