Gut health is mental health

Look, I understand we live in a very fast paced society and there hardly seems time to complete normal tasks. From being a caretaker to working and cleaning the home, we are just busy ! We basically will continue to simply “stay busy” and use that as an excuse to not be healthy. What is healthy? I think we all have a good understanding on what that is. From eating Whole Foods to getting some exercise. Healthy also means being kind to yourself when you need it the most. As a mother I am no good if I am constantly running around playing catch up with chores and having a tank that’s just running on E all the time. We cannot pour from an empty cup. We have to find the time to take care of things and learn how to organize that and implement it. Take your meals for instance. If you dedicated some of your time each week just figuring up a rough meal plan you might find your meals get elevated. Knowing what you will have on one day helps to mentally prepare you and helps your brain to know how much time allotted for each meal would take. I truly understand being busy but something’s just have to be made time for! I’m sure some of you are already thinking, “I don’t have time to ferment”. Regardless, us humans tend to find time for things when they have meaning. Someone who have an immune disorder that finds healing in fermented foods will make the time. What is your why to be healthy? Longevity? Health issues ? I’m my book, “Bringing back bacteria “, I give you simple three to five day recipes. Showing you that yes you too can make probiotics in your kitchen using just food! When we take the time to feed ourselves nutritionally sound foods, then we might begin to see less brain fog. More motivation and just an overall wellbeing that produces productivity. Hippocrates once said, “All disease begins in the gut.” Scientific evidence shows us our mental health is directly related to what we eat everyday! This makes sense considering we are responsible for what we feed our guts. Certain foods promote disease and some cause it. Once we improve our gut bacteria we certainly can see a change in our thinking and even behavior!

How can you make the time to feed yourself nutritious foods? Probiotic foods?
