About Me
Frankie Mecono is a lifelong motocross racer, experienced strength and conditioning professional, and the creator of Vet MX Performance.
Born in Santa Barbara California, Frankie has spent decades pursuing motocross at a competitive level, including AMA Outdoor 250 National competition and the AMA Western Four-Stroke Nationals. His racing experience includes earning the No. 8 position in the 2002 Western Four-Stroke National series.
Frankie has worked as a personal trainer since 2004 and holds StrongFirst Level II Instructor and Certified Kettlebell Functional Movement Specialist qualifications. His professional background combines practical coaching experience with a deep understanding of strength, movement, conditioning, and athletic performance.
Through Vet MX Performance, Frankie brings these disciplines together to help motocross riders approach physical preparation with greater structure and purpose. His programs emphasize progressive strength training, aerobic conditioning, mobility, recovery, and training that complements time on the bike.
His philosophy is straightforward: effective motocross preparation isn't about spending endless hours in the gym. It's about training with purpose, developing the physical qualities that riding demands, and building a sustainable approach to performance.
Vet MX Performance — Train for the moto. Not just the gym.
