Stories Change Lives

Books, workbooks and creative experiences to help you go deeper, find your way into your book and keep writing

Why Write Wild Exists

I believe the books we struggle to write are often trying to teach us something about how we want to live.

I know that because writing has done exactly that for me.

I’m Sarah Clayton — writer, writing mentor and creator of Write Wild. I’ve published both fiction and non-fiction, but the path here has been anything but straightforward. There have been years when writing poured out of me, and years when illness meant I could barely write at all. I know what it is to lose your way creatively, to wonder whether the thing you care about still belongs to you, and to find your way back.

Nature played a huge part in that return.

It taught me to stop forcing the work and become curious again. To listen more closely. To go underneath the obvious story. And eventually, that became Write Wild — my way of helping other writers discover not only how to write their book, but what the book is really asking them to explore.

That’s why this shop exists.

Everything you’ll find here is designed to help you move a little deeper: into your writing, your creativity and the ideas that refuse to leave you alone.

Because I don't think we need more people trying to write the book they think they should write.

I want to help you write the one that keeps tapping you on the shoulder.

The Write Wild Method

What if better writing doesn't begin at your desk?

The Write Wild Method is my published guide to reconnecting with your creativity through nature, curiosity and a wilder approach to writing.

It's for writers who want to go deeper — beyond rules, routines and word counts — and rediscover the exploration, meaning and aliveness that made them want to write in the first place.

Reimagine. Refresh. Reboot your writing.
