I was born in Guyana and am proud of my Indo-Caribbean heritage. Growing up, I experienced how the music, culture, and traditions of India have traveled across generations and oceans, connecting families and keeping a rich cultural heritage alive. That legacy continues to inspire the stories I tell today.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children of all ages, and I love seeing their excitement as they discover stories that spark their imagination and curiosity.

Nico and the Singing Tabla is my first published book and the first story I have illustrated with the assistance of AI. While this story introduces young readers to the joyful rhythms of the tabla, it is also a celebration of family, cultural heritage, and the special bond between a child and his grandpa. My hope is that every child who reads Nico's story will be inspired to listen with their heart and discover the rhythms that connect us all.
