About Me
With great pleasure, I introduce to you a remarkable individual whose journey embodies resilience, dedication, and a profound commitment to early childhood education. Born in 1970 in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California, and a graduate of Balboa High School in 1988, Ms. Hutchon embarked on a path that would ultimately leave an indelible mark on the lives of countless children and families.
Ms. Hutchon commenced her professional career as a federal government employee in 1987, where she cultivated invaluable skills and experience over fifteen years until 2002. During this time, her passion for business management led her to pursue studies at San Francisco State University, although without obtaining a degree, before delving into early childhood education at American River College in Sacramento, similarly without formal certification.
In a pivotal decision in 2002, Ms. Hutchon transitioned from government service to embark on an entrepreneurial endeavor, establishing an academic preschool from her home. Infusing her program with a strong emphasis on discipline, she earned licensure from the State of California, providing a nurturing and educational environment for young learners.
Driven by a vision of expansion and a commitment to excellence, in 2013, with the unwavering support of her three children, Ms. Hutchon took a bold step forward, opening a private academic preschool beyond the confines of her home. This endeavor, licensed as a Childcare Center by the State of California, became a collaborative effort among the family, further solidifying their bond and dedication to early childhood education.
However, the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 necessitated difficult decisions. In adversity, Ms. Hutchon demonstrated adaptability and resilience, pivoting her career path. Drawing upon her wealth of knowledge and experience, she embraced a new role as an early childhood consultant, extending her impact beyond the confines of a single institution.
Not content with merely shaping young minds within the confines of a classroom, Ms. Hutchon also embarked on a literary journey, penning her inaugural work, "A Disciplined Child is a Teachable Child." Through her writing, she seeks to share insights, strategies, and the wisdom gleaned from her years of experience, enriching the broader discourse on early childhood education.
Today, Ms. Hutchon is a beacon of inspiration within her community and beyond, embodying the transformative power of passion, perseverance, and lifelong learning. As she continues to forge ahead, we can only anticipate the profound impact she will undoubtedly leave on the landscape of early childhood education and beyond.
Please join me in warmly welcoming Ms. Yvette Hutchon, a visionary leader, educator, and advocate for the next generation.
