Yvonne Donohoe

Hi, I'm Yvonne. I have four adult children and seven amazing grandchildren.

I enjoyed a highly successful career as an educator, teaching for over thirty years in a range of schools including large city and small rural schools. I’ve worked with children from all demographics and all levels of ability, including gifted students to those experiencing learning difficulties. As a consultant for the NSW Department of Education, I supported principals, teachers and parents to implement programs aimed at improving student outcomes. I developed and delivered workshops on topics including student engagement and quality teaching. I have given lectures to university students on the Principles of Equity.

My exposure to cutting edge research prepared me for my final role within the NSW Department of Education - that of school principal. I led four school communities before retiring from Mullumbimby Public School. After retiring I continued to work with schools and tutor students. I also trained to be a Life and Business Coach and now help adults change their lives in ways they never thought possible. My clients enjoy wellness and success as they achieve goals and live their dreams.

As a life-long learner, I am regularly pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Learning to navigate the technology of online learning has been my latest foray into the unknown. As a life coach, I am constantly asking my clients to step out of their comfort zones, so it is only right that I model how to embrace the unknown as I work towards achieving my goals.
