FROM A BROTHA TO A SISTA
FROM A BROTHA TO A SISTA
A Letter of Love, Accountability,
and Urgency
In From a Brotha to a Sista, a
Black man speaks directly—boldly,
lovingly, and unapologetically—to
the heartbeat of the Black
community: the Ebony Woman.
This book is not an attack. It is not
a condemnation.
It is a call to awareness.
Drawing from cultural observation,
lived experience, and deep respect
for the power Black women hold,
the author addresses the concerns
shaping the everyday lives oftoday’s Black woman—concerns
that too often go unspoken or are
dismissed as disrespect when they
are, in truth, rooted in love. When
symbols of Black excellence like
Clair Huxtable are rejected for
offering critique, the author argues
that we are no longer in
disagreement—we are in a state of
emergency.
With passion and urgency, this
book explores responsibility that
comes with dominance, influence,
and leadership. It challenges Black
women to reflect on their present
position in the world and recognizethe undeniable truth: with great
power comes great responsibility.
Written as a personal letter from a
BROTHA to his SISTA, this book
invites open minds and open
hearts. It asks hard questions,
sparks uncomfortable
conversations, and ultimately
affirms one central belief—that the
future of the Black community,
and the world itself, rests in the
hands of the Black woman.
This is a conversation many are
afraid to have.
This book is brave enough to start
it.
