About Zōē
Zōē was founded by a woman who spent years tracking her own cycle, ups and downs, before she understood what she was actually reading and being told by the doctors.
Most nutrition plans and coaching programmes are built around one thing: calories in, calories out. Train hard. Stay consistent.
Trust the process.
What they don't account for is you.
Not the version of you that shows up on day twelve — sharp, strong, capable of anything. And not the version that shows up on day twenty-four — depleted, hungry, running on cortisol and willpower.
The majority of fitness and nutrition research was conducted on men. Men whose hormones reset every 24 hours. The plans that followed were built around that model, and handed to women as if the biology was the same. It isn't.
Your hormones shift every single week of your month — changing your metabolism, your recovery, your strength, your sleep, your hunger and your focus. No coach who ignores that is giving you a fixed picture.
And no plan that treats every day the same will ever fully work for a body that doesn't.
This is not a minor oversight. It is the reason your results have been inconsistent despite the effort. The reason the same deficit works one week and fails the next. The reason you feel like a different person every two weeks and have been quietly blaming yourself for both.
You were never the problem. The model was.
Most coaches will tell you to push harder. Lift heavier. Add another session. Be more disciplined. And they will expect you — and sometimes you will expect yourself — to match that standard every single week of the month, regardless of where you are in your cycle.
But the female body was not built for that model. It was built for something far more complex and far more remarkable.
This is a body that can bring life into existence. An ecosystem of extraordinary biological intelligence — one that shifts its metabolism, its temperature, its energy output and its hormonal environment across a 28-day rhythm, month after month, for decades. A body capable of sustaining the development of another human being while simultaneously navigating a demanding professional life, maintaining relationships, managing a household and showing up fully for everything and everyone that needs her.
That is not a body that needs to be pushed harder.
That is a body that deserves to be understood.
Longevity, real performance and lasting health for women require something coaches rarely teach: wisdom. The understanding that more is not always better. That rest is not weakness. That the weeks you pull back are not failures — they are the biological foundation that makes the weeks you push forward possible.
Zōē was built on that understanding.
Everything we create is rooted in the actual science of how oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone and cortisol shift across your cycle — and what that means for how you train, eat, sleep, recover and perform.
Not as a complication to manage. As the system to honour.
Because a woman who understands her biology perform better but more importantly, she stops fighting herself.
You were never inconsistent. You were uninformed. That changes here.
