Stephane E is a 22-year-old from Haiti who moved to New York at the age of 11. Before falling in love with reading, she had to learn English, and reading became a way for her to learn. Throughout high school, she would often borrow a book from the ELA class bookshelf, always wanting to take them home and stay up late reading, even when the whole house had fallen asleep. She has also always been passionate about storytelling. From the countless unfinished stories sitting on her laptop to the fanfiction she wrote. This year, she decided to take a chance and stopped being scared, sharing her stories with the world. At 11 years old, Steph could have never imagined that one day she would publish a book.
