Inspect literal ARIA ID references in one Liquid or HTML source file, locally.

LiquidARIA reports aria-labelledby, aria-describedby and aria-controls references, target declarations and supported conditional scopes. It helps you locate source relationships that deserve a closer look. It does not edit your theme or create labels.

Three kinds of result

Observations describe supported source structure. Reviews flag matters such as conditional target mismatches or repeated source IDs. Unknowns preserve uncertainty about dynamic markup, unsupported syntax and missing cross-file context. Exit 0 means the report was generated, not that accessibility passed.

Included demonstration

A fictional before/after pair moves a name declaration outside a condition by hand. The review count changes from one to zero; an unknown remains in both. This is an explanatory example, not an automatic theme fix or proof of accessible behavior.

Requirements and delivery

Python 3.10+ source-code ZIP, tested locally on Windows with Python 3.12. No extra pip packages. Terminal workflow plus an optional Tkinter file-picker window. Python and Tkinter are not bundled. Includes first-run instructions, source, fictional examples and HTML/JSON reference reports. No standalone EXE, cloud account, store connection or subscription.

Know the limits

Single UTF-8 file, maximum 5 MiB. This is a lexical/structural diagnostic, not a Liquid renderer, full theme scanner, browser accessibility audit or compliance certification. Dynamic elements and certain opaque blocks are omitted and reported; unsupported branches and other-file/runtime behavior remain unknown. A source match does not establish a rendered ID or usable accessible name. Actual browser and assistive-technology testing remains necessary for real accessibility decisions. No live Shopify theme/import test is claimed.

Sources are read-only; existing report folders are refused. Use a new report folder each time. A failed disk write may leave a partial new folder. Reports include source excerpts and may contain confidential material. No network requests are made by the tool.

Use and modify for your internal work and authorized client files; no resale or redistribution of the supplied utility. Implementation has received scoped independent core review. No exclusive rights in the supplied elements are promised. Download/file support only; custom installation, theme repair and consulting are not included. No guaranteed response time or future updates.

All sales are final except where a refund is required by applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights remain intact.
