Mittens: 7 (8, 9)”/18 (20.5, 23) cm finished hand circumference; mittens shown in smallest size with approx. .5”/1 cm negative ease

Hat: 16.5 (18.5, 20.5)/42 (47, 52) cm finished hat circumference; hat shown in smallest size with approx. 4”/10 cm negative ease at the brim

YARN: Hobbii Friends Wool, 100% wool, 109 yd/1.76 oz (100 m/50 g)

Mittens: 140 (160, 180) yd/130 (145, 165) m

Hat: 190 (220, 250) yd/ 175 (200, 230) m (includes folded brim)

GAUGE:

Mittens: 20 sts and 28 rnds = 4”/10 cm in st st

Hat: 24 sts and 32 rnds = 4”/10 cm in charted hat pattern

NEEDLES

US 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles or long circular needle for magic loop for mittens; 16”/40 cm circular needle for hat, or size to obtain gauge

US 6 (4 mm) DPNs or long circular for magic loop for mittens; 16”/40 cm circular needle for hat, or 1 size below gauge needle
