Pythagorean Theorem Around the Clock Partner Scavenger Hunt | Hypotenuse and Leg Practice
Give students a collaborative way to practice the Pythagorean Theorem with this Pythagorean Theorem Around the Clock Partner Scavenger Hunt Activity. Students work with a partner to solve right triangle problems that include finding missing hypotenuse lengths and missing leg lengths.
Each partner has their own clock with 12 unique problems. The problems are different for each partner, but the answers and clock placement are the same. This gives students a built-in way to compare answers, check work, and talk through mistakes if their results do not match.
Students begin with the problem marked by a star and glue it to the 12 o’clock spot. After solving, they find the matching answer at the top of another problem card and glue that card to the 1 o’clock spot. Students continue solving and matching until they move around the clock and return back to the 12 o’clock spot.
