Beeswax Hat - a knitting pattern

Beeswax Hat combines it all: very simple yet effective cables, squishy fabric, small colorwork and a contrasting pompom.
Calculated in two sizes, for you and your knitworthy person.

Sizes
Small (Large).
To fit 54-56 (56-58) cm/21-22 (22-23)“ head circumference.
Length from folded brim to top - about 22.5 cm/9”.

Yarn
Genmou by Daruma (100% merino; 151m/165y per 50g).
MC: approx. 180 (200) m/197 (218) y.
CC1: approx. 76 (85)m/83 (92)y.
CC2: approx. 76 m/83y.

Needles
4.0 mm/US #6 circular needle (at least 40 cm/16” long) and dpns, or appropriate size to get gauge;
3.5 mm/US #4 circular needle (at least 40 cm/16” long) or dpns, or two sizes smaller than gauge needles.

1 stitch marker, tapestry needle for weaving, pom pom (optional)

Gauge
One cable repeat (12 sts x 12 rnds) is 4.5 cm/1.75” wide and 4 cm/1.5” high worked in the rnd with needle 4.0 mm/US #6, unstretched. Take time to save time and check your gauge. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
