This Cowl is a part of The Saami collection. Fishing is a traditional livelihood for Inari Saami people and I wanted to honour that tradition with a pattern featuring some of the common fish varieties in the region: pike, perch and rainbow trout. Nore means a school of fish in Inari Saami, so it is a very fitting name for this design!

This cowl is funnel shaped for a good fit, and is a reversible design with colourwork on one side and wide stripes on the other.

Design notes

This cowl is knit in the round and in one piece.

The colourwork pattern covers the outer layer of the cowl and includes decreases that create the funnel shape of the cowl.

The striped lining has regular increase rounds to match the funnel shaping of the outer fabric.
