HIKING & CLIMBING

Before a steep section or crux, as the demand builds, or when you want another gear.

CYCLING

Before or during a demanding section — when conditions let you keep full steering and braking control.

PADDLING & ROWING

When wind, resistance or distance starts asking more of you.

GYM & STRENGTH TRAINING

Between or during demanding efforts, when it is safe and practical.

SKIING & WINTER SPORTS

A DIFFERENT MOMENT. SAME TOOL.

ANDREA — PADDLE BOARDING

“I was paddle boarding back across the lake. By half way the wind had picked up and was getting stronger, the water was becoming more and more choppy.

I was starting to fatigue and getting a bit worried — we were only half way.

Then I remembered to use the Second Wind technique. I did sets of it — as was suggested.

And thanks to this, as a direct result I became stronger, more confident and finished strong!!!

Wow I'm really happy I purchased this.”

THAT’S ANDREA’S EXPERIENCE.

GOOD TO KNOW

HOW LONG DOES ONE REP TAKE?

About 2 seconds.

DO I HAVE TO STOP WHAT I’M DOING?

Not necessarily. Use SECOND WIND in motion when safe and practical — or just before or just after a demanding section.

HOW MANY REPS DO I USE?

SECOND WIND is used in sets. A typical set is 4–5 reps, and you can return to another set — or a few more sets — as needed during the same activity.

DO I NEED ANY EQUIPMENT?

No. Once you know the technique, SECOND WIND goes with you.

CAN I USE SECOND WIND OVER CLOTHING?

Yes. Learn the technique first on skin or over a thin layer. Once mastered, you can use it through thicker clothing when you can still perform the movement accurately.

WHAT SHOULD I NOTICE?

Pay attention to your effort, pace, rhythm and readiness to continue after a set — or after a few sets.

YOUR NEXT MOMENT WILL COME.

A hill. A long stretch. Heavy legs. A point in your activity when you want another gear.

BY THE 5TH REP, I WAS OUT IN FRONT!

My husband is 6'4" and naturally hikes at a much faster stride than I do at 5'4".

On our hike yesterday not long after we started he was already a couple of feet ahead of me. Instead of asking him to slow down to my pace, I decided to use Second Wind in sets.

By the second rep I noticed my pace quickened. By the 5 rep I had already passed him, was out in front — and my pace was still picking up.

I maintained this fast pace throughout the hike thanks to Second Wind.

I'm thrilled cause I know I'll be using this ... a lot !

Second Wind - Review

My first experience using Second Wind was skiing at Lake Louise.
I used it after skiing the steeper sections when I stopped for a rest and out of breath.
The good thing about it is I could do it over top of my ski jacket, and it still worked! Then I felt revitalized to ride some more.
This technique definitely helped me to stay out longer for a few extra runs.

A simple trick with a noticeable difference

This is a great trick! I gave it a go on a hike, and after doing several sets in a row just for fun, I noticed my pace quickened. I then used it going up a hill and was able to keep up that quicker pace. I'm excited to explore this technique further while doing other sports. Thank you!
