App flipping, also called re-skinning, is the act of taking source code for an existing app and then customizing it with graphics and a few twicks on the code and call it your own. It is completely legal. I call this good business, like someone said, ‘the best way to enter the market is to hit the ground running.’

The idea here is to leverage the work that someone else has done by licensing or purchasing source code.
