Anchor foundation paper piecing pattern

An anchor is a simple, striking and ever-popular motif. You can add this paper pieced block to any nautical, marine, sailor or pirate themed quilt!

This anchor pattern has quite a few small pieces so is great for an intermediate paper-piecer. The pattern will produce a block that is approximately 7 inches wide and 8.5 inches tall (the main photo shows a smaller version I made that I scaled down to about 4 inches tall). This could be used as part of a larger quilt or as mug-rug or made into a wall hanging, as I have done in the main image. The PDF also includes instructions to scale-up the pattern to make a quilt of any size.

This PDF download includes:

❤ Printable pieces
❤ Tips for sewing the pieces and directions to piece the sections
❤ A blank diagram for planning your colour scheme
❤ Instructions to scale-up the pattern to create a larger quilt
❤ no Y-seams

The pattern does not include instructions on how to paper piece. There are loads of great quilting resources online where you can learn to paper piece.
