With this virtual lab, your students will conduct a classic experiment that led to one of the defining moments in 20th century science: proof of the atomic nature of matter. Learn how the simple observation of pollen grains under a microscope led Albert Einstein and others to this amazing discovery. Students will (1) demonstrate the existence of atoms, (2) experimentally determine Avogadro's number, (3) measure the mass of individual atoms, and (4) run motion capture analyses.
