Bach / Gounod: „Ave Maria“

Das um einen Takt erweiterte „Präludium I“ aus dem „Wohltemperierten Klavier“ von J. S. Bach, ergänzt um einen romantischen Gesang von Charles Gounod. Der Schlichtheit wegen ist es gar nicht einfach, auf dem Kontrabass zu spielen. Daher ist es ein hervorragendes Übungsstück für den Kontrabassisten. Um zu vermeiden, dass der Pianist das bekannte Stück plötzlich in einer anderen Tonart als gewohnt spielen muss, enthält diese Ausgabe das Präludium in C-Dur. Dafür liegt die Kontrabass-Stimme in B-Dur (für Solostimmung) und in C-Dur (für Orchesterstimmung) vor.

The "Prelude I" from the "Well-Tempered Clavier" by J. S. Bach, extended by one bar, supplemented by a romantic song by Charles Gounod. Due to its simplicity, it is not at all easy to play on the double bass. It is therefore an excellent practice piece for the double bass player. To avoid the pianist suddenly having to play the well-known piece in a different key than usual, this edition contains the prelude in C major. Instead, the double bass part is available in B flat major (for solo part) and in C major (for orchestral part).
