Keitar Interactive Fiction Game used Godot Engine which is a free new video game construction platform. It's fast, highly compatible, and it's about as easy as game programming gets. Gaming has been made easier by Godot Engine opening up a new world. No fear of frequent Save File popup working. You can work with the platform to make games despite never having written a line of code before.
My scheme is to use [and contribute to] open source repositories and tools [OpenGameArt, Krita, etc] to make a story-driven psychological horror game that includes a scenario editor. A text note organizer inspired by the format of Ishkur's Electronic Music Guide is the first goal, and then I'll use my text organizer to plan the actual game.
