✨ Product Highlight

Our unit leverages the rich visual storytelling of "The Balcony Girl" to create engaging movie talk activities. By immersing students in the film’s narrative, you can effectively teach grammar and vocabulary within the authentic context of the story.

📂 Teaching Resources Included:

• PowerPoint presentations: includes essential slides you need to teach the movie unit. i designed this unit for my Mandarin 3 students which I teach Integrated Chinese Lesson 16 约会, but it can be tailored to other levels.
• Handouts: The worksheets to complement the presentations including glossary and grammar exercises.
• Reading material: the story that I wrote to describe the movie in segments. This design will reduce students' cognitive loads to read long texts. This can be used for first-time reading as well as re-reading activities: unscramble the story. 
• Lesson plan: includes my actual plans/suggestive activities as well as some other ideas for you to engage your class. This lesson plan also includes a Quizlet study set that you can modify on your own. 
• Word Wall game for interactive learning.
• Story narration rubrics: I designed 2 assessments (speaking & writing assessments) for this unit, but the possibilities are endless!
